Morocco - last part.

We were escorted out of the marina by the police in Rabat.
We had many long days out on the sea, and usually we sailed between 120 and 170 nautical miles the days we where out.
Luckily we had no more problems of the same type that we had in Tan Tan, but believe me; we had certainly learned our lesson. 
For us, Morocco was a different experience, mostly regarding the culture.
In general, the majority seemed a bit poor, especially in remote areas. But by all means, you will find the same variety of people in Morocco like in all other countries in the world.
Most people we met were nice, and tried to help as best they could for their own standards.
Despite people being friendly, it was a strange feeling experiencing the feeling of the peoples high expectations getting a kind of reward, even for the smallest favor. Sometimes we felt like a piece of tender meat that everyone wanted a piece of, until there was no more left.
Religious or not, teveryone wanted Whisky and cigarettes, or anything else they saw onboard that nthey wanted to have.They wre not shyer than that they asked for different things they would like to have, and it felt a bit both strange and embarrassing at the same time to experience such a direct way to express themselves.
Port procedures with customs and police in Morocco were also something special. Too often we felt it was regulated by local regulations and restrictions, and in many ways the “mood of the day” from various officials.
There were many things to both learn and see in Morocco, and we are many experiences richer.
