Sotogrande - Spania

While the captain was going to arrange the necessary paperwork on arrival, Anders and I took care of diesel and water.
At the same time we heard someone shouting from the first pier a little further in, friends from Norway!

The Bøhler family is on two weeks holiday in the area, an area they also know very well having lived here for almost a year's time.
They hadn’t set their plans for the holiday, so it was decided that they would be a couple of days in Sotogrande together with us.

Anders had booked his flight back home to Norway the next day, and were so thrilled about this as much as we thought it was a bit sad that he should go.
Anders has been of great help for the captain after we left Anfi Marina, and is an outstanding “sailor”. He is also a very social person, and we have had so much fun since the day he came onboard.
Have a great summer on Askerøya with your family Anders, we guess Tove think it's good to have you back.
We had a couple of lovely days in Sotogrande, and the marina was efficient in every possible way. Although there were some sailboats in the harbor, it seemed however that if this was a typical motor boat harbor.
The captain, who thought Zenith was quite spacious when he saw for the first time inside the docking area at Aaby Marine, seems suddenly that she was more the size of a bath tub compared with many of the other boats in the harbor.
In the various ports in Morocco Zenith was the largest of the boats, and now we are suddenly the smallest one!
I do feel that this will be an issue for the captain, and know already that he would very much like to have a bigger boat with more space.

Kjekt å lese bloggene deres - turen høres jo helt herlig ut, skjønt dramatikken i Marokko med konvertering fra diesel til dampmaskin kunne dere sikkert vært foruten. Neste gang jeg treffer deg Geirr regner jeg med at du klar for enda litt mer propaganda om fordelene og gledene som følger med seiling.... Hadde foresten en knalltur ned Oslofjorden - takk for mail! Regner med mer info om D5LA i august.
